Foundational Training in Nosara’s Jungle

A few years ago I met Jon Mangogna in Nosara, Costa Rica. It’s hard to describe Jon. He walks into a room and immediately walks up to you – says “hello” and you feel like you have known him since childhood. Great guy.

Jon teaches TRX & Foundational Training all around Nosara. I love that he makes house calls. He brings his gear to Jade Retreat – and anyone can join the workout. I really like TRX ….. but have found that his foundational training works really well for us.

Dr. Eric Goodman is the creator of Foundation Training. Dr. Goodman has spent years studying human physiology and movement, and has helped people of all ages and occupations heal and correct lifelong debilitating pain using something called Foundation Training.

Foundation Training is a re-wiring of the wrong patterns ingrained in our bodies from modern lifestyles that cause pain and deterioration. In 10 to 15 minutes a day, you can reduce pain and increase strength.

Jon is a disciple …… he loves, believes and lives foundational training. Jon is one of those guys that is fortunate enough to spend several weeks traveling to exotic places and also makes time to attend special training to enhance his training for his clients. He is just never satisfied with what he already knows. He’s constantly learning more – so he can give more. And I believe his traveling, his curiosity for everyplace on the planet – molds this guy into who Jon is.

At Jade Retreat we host a variety of retreats every year. I always recommend Jon with Foundational training. Even if you’re only able to go to 1 or 2 sessions – you will walk away with something useful. We had some corporate guys down for a week and they took 2 or 3 classes. They couldn’t get enough. Their biggest takeaway was a few exercises he suggested they do while traveling. He told them “ this is an exercise you can do in the airport before you board the plane.” These guys travel all over the world. The feedback they gave me was that with a 5 min stretch/exercise in a airport lounge – makes all the difference for them.
